Happy Labor Day weekend, fellow weekend warriors! I am quite excited for this weekend’s gaming plans, as they include much local co-op, and playing games with my partner is always high on my list of awesome activities.
We have been talking and talking about playing Little Big Planet 3, yet we have never even started the game together, and this weekend, that changes! I’m looking forward to seeing all the adorable ways in which Sackboy and his Sackfriends get the craft world out of merry hijinks.
We are also finally going to plunk down and play all the DLC for Mario Kart 8, a game we both thoroughly enjoyed earlier in the year. I can’t wait to play as Isabelle from Animal Crossing and race around on some adorable scooter.
I will also be in and out of Destiny, leveling my Word of Crota the rest of the way and getting ready to take down Skolas, the last thing left on my year one Moments of Triumph. I really, really want that emblem.
I’m super not proud of it, but last night I caved and bought Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain (and the game guide!), and I’m quite looking forward to starting it. I keep seeing people in my PS4 friends list playing it, and my curiosity got the better of me. There is so much bizarre whimsy and amazing ’80s music involved that I felt I could wait no longer.
Plus, when he rides in D-Walker, it looks like they are roller skating through the desert. And that’s something I can get behind.
Aaand, I still have my plans to get back into the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. That’s a lot of games and, specifically, two open world games.
But I have high hopes. A four day weekend provides all kinds of time for co-op and solo gaming, and I can’t wait!
Does anyone else out there have gaming plans for the holiday weekend? If so, what games will you be ringing in the weekend with?
Please be safe out there however you choose to spend the long weekend.
