Over the past week, I’ve found myself wanting to play games, but mostly unmotivated to do so. Instead of fighting it, I’m embracing it.
I push myself to do a lot of things and forcing myself to game seems a bit odd. So, for the next week, I’m just going to give myself a break and focus on something that has been feeling necessary: getting more organized again.
I like to keep as spare of an environment as possible but, lately, it’s been out of control. I don’t know if it started because of holiday decor from Halloween or because my chronic health issues have been a bit more frustrating than usual (thus preventing me from keeping things in order as well as I’d like), but I’d like to maximize my non-gaming time by getting as much fully organized as possible. I function far better in an optimized environment. I also have a massive to-do list of fairly important things that can’t wait.
So, for this week, gaming is taking a backseat. If I get to anything, that’s great and I will be happy about it, but I’m not pushing myself to make it happen.
In the meantime, I will be organizing shelves, bins, cabinets, closets, and anything else that needs it. I’ll be cleaning, too. I’ve been wanting to do a full mop of the floors and that weirdly excites me.
I like things clean.
With that I ask: what will YOU be playing this week?
Whatever you do, please be safe out there, friends. Cheers.

I love cleaning especially when I’m in a bad mood. Something about is just relaxing. Pretty sure that makes me even more weird than I normally am.
As for what I’ll be playing. Probably more Hollow Knight. Got to 70 with my hardcore character in Diablo 3 so I’m giving that a break for a bit.

I’m right there with that. I think it helps to see chaos, even small chaos, set right and organized. I don’t think that’s weird at all.
I hope you are enjoying Hollow Knight. :)

I hate cleaning and tidying, but I like being in a clean, tidy environment. I tend to find that how messy the rooms in which I spend most of my time are are generally a pretty good visual depiction of my mental state at the time.
For gaming this week, it’s all about Smash. And Atelier Rorona. The latter of which I’ll be writing about in the new year.

That’s the irony, isn’t it? And yes, I think that’s a good equation. I would be inclined to agree for myself, as well.
I hope you enjoy both! I need to play Smash, myself!

I see it as just prepping to enjoy gaming even more in the future.
Stellaris got a big update a couple of days ago that changed most of the game, so I’ll probably be checking that out.

I could definitely do with cleaning my area more often than I do but I rarely have time. I do like things organized as well so I can relate to that but I just try to keep the chaos as organized as possible for a good length of time.
I’m still playing Hollow Knight sporadically but I’m hoping to start something else as well, preferably a 2018 game for year end listings and such.

Hey, keeping things as organized as possible is the best you can do, you know?
Did you start a 2018 game? If so, which one?
