Today I’m going to do something a bit unprecedented for me: I’m taking the day off.
That’s a bit of a misnomer as I’m still here writing that I’m taking the day off, but I’ve been feeling more and more brain fried and I thought I’d cut myself a break today, practice some self-care, and just let myself DO whatever I want. In this case, I want to take Cloud to the dog park, play Shape of the World, work on correspondence, and make some art.
Typically I look forward to Thursday pieces as I can write about whatever I want with no parameters, but today, my brain says, hey, let’s go sit in the sun and pet dogs. Let’s make some lovely Memphis design inspired pieces out of tiny beautiful tape. Let’s play that game we’ve wanted to play. Let’s go out and DO.
So, friends, I’m playing hooky and I’m going to go out and DO. This may be a first.
Also, the artist of the piece above is Pary Darian and his work is dreamy as heck; I love it.
Have you ever taken the day off just to recharge? What did you do with your freedom?
And now: off I go to experience the day. Thank you for being a part of it.
Please be safe out there, friends. Cheers.
