Festival Of The Loss Of All Available Time

I love Halloween; it’s my favorite holiday. This is my favorite time of year. I love a sense of occasion.

Combine all those things with the fact that I seemingly can’t stop playing Destiny 2 (even in the face of a barrage of games I can’t wait to play), and I. Am. Screwed.

I am all too aware of Destiny’s ongoing flaws. But the allure of connecting with so many people I genuinely like, and playing a game which (in my opinion) has the tightest and smoothest gunplay and traversal out there, often proves too great for me to walk away.

So, here we have Destiny 2: Forsaken’s Festival of the Lost, Destiny’s nearly annual Halloween celebration. I won’t bore you with details, but you get masks, you do things, and get limited-time things.

I like all those things.

I really wish they had brought back the Warden mask; it was my favorite. I love that big glowing dude.

I stayed up too late last night playing Festival of the Lost. I felt like garbage this morning because of it, but oh well. This is why this piece is so late going up.

Apparently if two of my favorite things are combined, all sense of time becomes warped and I don’t write like I’m supposed to and I wake up late feeling sheepish but also wanting to skip everything I’m supposed to do today and just play more Festival of the Lost.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This piece is too short, but I have masks and limited-time items to collect. I wish I wasn’t like this, but here we are.

Do any limited-time events in games do this to you?

If so, you have my sympathies. Please remember to stay hydrated and sleep.

In the last 24 hours, I’ve largely forgotten to do both.
