Every Friday come late afternoon, I feel restless. Usually when the sun begins to set.
Years ago, Friday afternoons were my favorite time; I’d start getting ready to go out for the evening, and the preferred destination was always dancing. I’d always be interested to know who was playing where and where people were headed. Most of my life at the time was a dumpster fire, but Friday and Saturday nights were dancing and they were just for me.
I haven’t been able to go dancing in some time (years, now), but my restless anticipation for the weekend, even if there are no definite plans in store, remains. I start wondering what everyone is doing over the weekend and, inevitably, what they will be playing.
To many of you who read my words (thank you, by the way) you know I often ask what people are playing. I want to know what you are planning on playing over the weekend, and I want to know what you will be playing during the week. I ask because I love finding out what people are into at the time. I love hearing people get excited about playing a game, any game, and I love hearing about their current experiences.
Basically, I never do not want to hear about what games you’re into or looking forward to; I always want to know.
So, today, it’s going to be a brief one. I’m cutting loose early and going to see a movie…in the theatre! The last time I did that, it was last October. Seriously, it was Happy Death Day last October 13th, which just so happened to be a Friday the 13th. My partner took the day off today and we’re going to see Hell Fest because I’ve been aching to see it since I first saw the trailer.
This weekend I will be playing more Destiny 2 (groan), continuing on in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and hopefully (broken record time) starting Strange Brigade. Of course, I also wouldn’t mind getting back to Guacamelee 2 at some point or even starting Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.
With that I ask (sincerely): what will you be playing this weekend? As always, I’d love to know. <3
Please be safe out there friends. Cheers!

I hope you enjoyed it, provided it arrived!
Oh gosh, the movie was bad. In so many ways. I still had fun going, but oof.

Thanks. Ended up having a good time with the misses with overcooked. Having been slacking on Octopath sadly.

Sadly I had to put it to the side for now. It’s a very long game that I don’t feel I’m getting much done with an hour each day. Hopefully when Christmas break comes around I can devote my time to finish it.

Aw, I’m sorry to hear that, but I hope it proves lovely over your Christmas break. :)

I always enjoy to see what other people are playing too. It’s interesting and it’s also a good way to discover new stuff. There are always games to be discovered!
This weekend I’ll be playing Forza Horizon 4 and continue my journey into Halo Anniversary. You asked me about my feelings about Halo and while I think it plays well, the level design feels dated…lots of corridors and rooms looking the same and missions that go for a bit too long. I’m also not really connected to the story and characters, but I’m interested to keep playing the series to see how it evolves. I also bought Firewatch and Night in the Woods…really excited to finally play them! But I’ll spread them out until Red Dead 2.
Have a great weekend!

Well, I’m currently playing Valthirian Arc on the Switch, as I have to make a review for the site about it. And maybe I’ll go back to Okami. Downloaded it at release but because of the work for my website I always seem to be playing a game for review, lol.
Happy weekend!
