I’m going to be real straight with you guys: I’ve played almost nothing. Boo.
Excepting some Iron Banner throughout the week in Destiny 2, I’ve been little more than a couch barnacle.
On Friday night, I played some of the weirdest Iron Banner I’ve ever played. It went beyond lag or rubber banding; it was bizarre. People would kill me through several walls with regular guns. I would die and there would be no one around, then the kill screen would say “misadventure” even though nothing had happened. A whole bunch of things like that. It was incredibly frustrating and, after a while, I just didn’t feel like going further with it. It was about as frustrated as I will allow myself to get with a game.
A great big NO THANKS to that.
I logged in to Fallout Shelter for a collective ten minutes.
Look at me go.
And, as per usual, I am keeping up with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp even though, more often than not, I’m really just wishing for an Animal Crossing on Switch. I’m sure it will come eventually, I just wish it would come sooner than later.
I was also fairly ill over the weekend so that sucked away any ambition I had to play anything new. Again I say: BOO.
This week is all about new games for me. I don’t care what I play, so long as it is new to me. I get stuck in these ruts so often where all I play are comfort games. I love that comfort games exist for me (e.g.: Destiny), but I need new and fresh experiences.
Today I think that means I will finally play Shape of the World, and perhaps something else.

I’m sitting here wishing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was a real Animal Crossing game on my phone. This week, I’m going to try and finish up the single player adventure mode for Mario Tennis Aces, I surprisingly got a good amount of play time with it over the weekend.

Oh my gosh, I wish that so hard. I like the new sunflower event. That’s one thing I hope makes it into the inevitable Switch Animal Crossing: these fun and timed events. I think it adds an even more lovely sense of occasion to an already lovely series.

It was not fun. At all. BLURG. Bungie needs to fix the servers and some of the Crucible exploits. Last night I was in a match where a hunter had unlimited Shadowshots and in the first minute of the match, it was 29/5 in their favor. It was the only time I’ve quit a match EVER because it was obvious someone was cheating.

Over the weekend I completed all the achievements in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia. I’m glad that I got all the episodes for free with Xbox Gold. They’re ok games, but not really good Assassin’s Creed games. I’m currently working through the first Attack on Titan game. It’s a good game to just unwind with since once you get a hang of the combat it flows really smoothly and is a good game to chip away at while listening to podcasts or something since the gameplay gets fairly samey past the story mode.
I hope that you’re feeling better and get to enjoy some new, or any, games. Whatever you decide to play I hope you enjoy!

Holy cow, nice work! And I love those games where you can put on a podcast or music and just zone out and do your thing. I used to do that with the first Borderlands on PS3. It’s one of my comfort games. The same goes for the first Destiny for me.

This week I plan to play Persona Q, I’m in the final labyrinth, so I’m hoping I’ll be done soon. I’ve also started replaying Kingdom Hearts, I want to be all caught up with the series by the time KHIII touches down next year.
It sounds like you’re dealing with a lot of stuff right now, all I can really say is that I hope you can pull through it soon.
