This past week (and weekend) was rough…on multiple fronts.
I’ve still been sick. It’s frustrating. I’ve spent most of 2017 sick. I’m ready to be done.
I experienced my first real troll situation via my Facebook writing page and it hurt more than I’d like to admit. I know I shouldn’t care. I know it doesn’t matter. I know not to believe my own press, good or bad. I logically know all those things, yet I am human and have feelings.
Those feelings hurt. I’ll get over it, but right now, they hurt.
I’ve been feeling left out of online gaming and feeling the difference in my gaming skill due to the physical funk I am in. I know that one will pass (hopefully sooner than later), but it’s annoying all the same.
Also, due to not feeling well, there were more than a couple of days over the past week where I didn’t game at all. I slept more than usual and caught up on some of the horror movies I’d been wanting to watch, but, otherwise, I was less than productive.
I played more Destiny 2 (shocking, I know), but I started to realize, the RNG is really doing a number on me, no pun intended. It’s getting to me. I think it may be time for me to step back from the Destiny 2 madness a bit. Honestly, it’s probably for the best; I have a veritable crap ton of games from 2017 I’d like to get to before we are in the last couple months of the year. Some of the 2017 releases on my list are huge games (e.g.: Persona 5), and if I don’t get cracking now, there is a rapidly dwindling chance I will be able to play them at all before December 31st. The biggest games on that list are Horizon: Zero Dawn, Persona 5, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, NieR: Automata, Prey, and I still need to finish Ghost Recon: Wildlands. That list doesn’t even include the smaller disc-based games on my list, let alone all the digital titles I have just waiting to be played.
I need to get serious about playing more games.
What a hilarious sentence.
So, this week, I will be trying to knock out some of the smaller titles on my digital docket. One of the first priorities will be to finish Everything. I realized over the weekend that I never officially completed it, and I very much want to. From the moment I played it, it shot directly into my top ten games of all time.
It’s entirely special.
I also realized it’s only a few weeks until Assassin’s Creed: Origins releases and I’d like to make some room for that on my schedule. Something about the location and the adjustment to the formula intrigues me. I’m ready to see where it goes.
With that I ask: what are you hoping to play this week? What did you play over the weekend?
Do you have any exciting plans for Friday the 13th? If I can hold my health together long enough to make it through a movie in the theatre, I may try to see Happy Death Day. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
