One Day More

The first press conference of E3 2018 happens tomorrow; it’s almost here!

Tomorrow, EA kicks off E3 with their presser at 11:00am PST.

I’ve heard the past chunk of days referred to as “Leak Week” and I can’t say that isn’t true. I can’t recall an E3 in recent memory where there have been so many leaks in the days leading up to E3.

Yesterday, someone in a video game group I belong to, posted a screenshot from Steam where it showed Just Cause 4 was available for pre-order. To anyone’s knowledge, Just Cause 4 hadn’t even been announced.

Sure enough, later in the day, it was reported that Just Cause 4 was leaked from an ad on Steam.

Oops.

Nothing has been quite as hilariously WHOOPS as Walmart Canada’s massive leak last month which resulted in Bethesda confirming the existence of Rage 2.

And then the next Assassin’s Creed was outed after an image of a promotional keychain, of all things, was leaked.

Leak Week, indeed.

No matter how they are announced, I’m always glad for new games. I am, however, still hoping we get some massive surprises; those are some of my favorite parts of E3.

That being said, I’m going to keep this one short. Over the next several days, you’ll be seeing more from me with my E3 coverage of each presser as it happens.

As a reminder, the presser schedule is as follows:

Saturday, June 9th
EA 11:00am PST

Sunday, June 10th
Microsoft 1:00pm PST
Bethesda 6:30pm PST

Monday, June 11th
Square Enix 10:00am PST
Ubisoft 1:00pm PST
Sony 6:00pm PST

Tuesday, June 12th
Nintendo 9:00am PST

I’m looking forward to sharing another E3 with you!

With that I ask: which press conference are you most looking forward to? Will you be watching the pressers live or getting the highlights later?

Also, what will you be playing this E3 weekend? I will be trying to play anything I can.

Cheers, friends! Let us all E3!

  1. I’m probably looking forward to Bethesda and Sony’s conferences the most. Mainly because I am a PS4 primary, but I’m always looking forward to Skyrim being available for a different console. I have my fingers crossed for Skyrim Vita now.

  2. Most amped for Sony; excited for Square Enix & Bethesda. I’ll be playing GoW; no spoilers forthcoming! Also, I’m in the last third of the game. This has shaped up to be an excellent story; looking ahead to a sequel.

    • I have to admit, I’m most excited for Sony as well. Though I’m super excited for Bethesda, too. I have a nagging feeling we will get a huge announcement later tonight.

And thank you for no spoilers! :)

  3. I’m travelling for work, so I’m tired and I won’t be able to see any of E3 live. Regardless, I’m super excited to follow along! I’m pulling for Microsoft to have a killer announcement or two. I’m not a pin person but those E3 Microsoft exclusive PUBG pins have me wishing that I could nab one. I’m cautiously optimistic for Fallout 76 but regardless of whatever it actually is I still have a lot of Fallout 4 to play and if Prey has DLC, I still need to play the game itself. And so, I’m hyped to plan out my fall gaming purchases. I’m excited to see the announcements but whatever it all is, I’ve plenty of games to keep me busy this summer.

    • Oh, Megan, I’m so sorry to hear that. I will say the people you work for are incredibly fortunate to have someone who is so dedicated and cares so much about her job. You’re amazing.

I think you got your wish with Microsoft!
