For some time now I’d been considering making an aesthetics page on Facebook; a couple weeks back, I finally did it. It’s called Trapper Keeper of Secrets.
(If you are interested, you can find the page here.)
I’ve always been very visually inclined. I find a lot of my artistic taste is rooted in the ’70s and ’80s when I grew up. In the past couple of years, I’ve been more and more into sharing those tastes. I wanted to create an aesthetics page simply so I had somewhere to curate all the images I was moved by without overloading everyone on my Facebook feed.
On the About section for Trapper Keeper of Secrets, I list the following as elements of interest:
’80s
Aesthetics
Arcades
Creatures
Experiences
Feelings
Ghibli
Nature
Neon
Whimsy
Right now I’ve mostly been sharing others’ content, but soon I will be posting my own as well. I was a photographer back in the late ’90s/early ’00s, and I have a lot of travel photography I think would fit right in. I love color saturation and I’m planning on adding that to much of my work. I’m also thinking about trying to figure out Photoshop so I can create even more interesting work.
Below are a smattering of images to give an idea of what I’m curating. If I had any of the artists’ details, I’d list it here, however I don’t know who created the following images. I know a lot of artistic work goes uncredited online, so I’ve made a point of stating on Trapper Keeper of Secrets that if someone knows who an artist is for a piece, I’m glad to update it accordingly with a link to the artist’s site.
With that being said, please enjoy the following images.

I created the page for myself, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t pleased that other people were enjoying it, too. If you are remotely interested, please feel free to pop on over to take a look. There is some beautiful content out there.
P.S. Fun fact: the above image of sunglasses on an orange background is the design from a Trapper Keeper I actually had back in the day. I think that explains a lot.
