March greetings, friends!
After finally getting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt under my belt a little over a week ago, I’ve been playing catch up on some other recent releases. Namely, The Following DLC for Dying Light. As per usual with Techland’s games, I am spending a ton of time tooling around and clearing the map of icons.
As much as I’ve always enjoyed Dying Light, the DLC was touted as having a Twin Peaks-y vibe, and I’ve yet to experience anything supporting that claim. Even so, I’m enjoying myself. Except for those great big jerk zombies that can level you from miles away. I don’t love them so much.
What I’m really looking forward to is The Division dropping tomorrow. This is a bit weird, as I feel neutral about the game (after playing the beta), but I am definitely looking forward to connecting with certain people and playing it. One of my favorite co-op partners and I are all set to dig in whenever my copy arrives tomorrow.
I will be interested to see how the narrative of the game plays out, but I have a whole lot of hesitation when it comes to the Dark Zone. During the beta, I had one solid experience there, but then every subsequent one was disheartening. I’m concerned that the majority of Dark Zoners will be ready to turn on their fellow players and I’m not into that style of play.
Other than The Division, I am looking forward to finally playing some of the following games (in no particular order):
Firewatch
Far Cry Primal
This War of Mine
Layers of Fear
Unravel
Bedlam
Doki Doki Universe
Knock-Knock
Saturday Morning RPG
Tales from the Borderlands
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
The Walking Dead: Season Two
There are two other games that I am inexplicably driven to play sooner than later and those are Doom BFG edition, and Half-Life 2. I’ve never played either, and they keep coming to mind. I have them both for PS3, so I have no excuse not to partake.
So partake I shall.
And with that, I bid you farewell as I scuttle off to finish up the Dying Light DLC. I have to be fresh for The Division.
Video game freshness!
I don’t know.
Oh! So, yes, my challenge for the month of March is to complete The Division, as well as at least three other games. I think this is a highly doable challenge, as many of the games on my list are bite-sized experiences, or can be completed in either one or two sessions.
Do you have a March challenge? If so, what is it?

You’re challenge for the month seems doable. I at least want to complete a few games this month.

Thank you! SWEET! Degan and I are ready to team up when you are. We started in last night, but we both want to team up with you whenever you have time. We will also be on tonight if you want to join. Perhaps we can try the Dark Zone again? We haven’t been in yet.
