I would just love to have something positive and productive to report, but I don’t. This past week, I barely gamed at all. I’d love to say it was because I was terribly busy (and some days were reasonably busier than others), or for some other tangible reason, however I don’t have one. I’ve been preoccupied with travel plans (we are headed home on holiday), and over the last seven days, I’ve barely played anything. I’ve played no Rise of the Tomb Raider or anything else. It’s very, very odd.
I’m still unsure why I’ve not clocked in much of any game time. If anything, this gaming blockage is making me create some ambitious plans for 2016 (more on that later). In the meantime, it just makes me feel strange.
This past weekend I was thinking about what games I wanted to take with me on holiday (I’m only taking my 3DS), and since I’m limiting myself to four (because of this helpful and neat little case), and I came up with Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Okamiden, and Mario Kart 7. I also have several games downloaded on my 3DS, and I have a sneaking suspicion that I will be caving in and checking in on my Animal Crossing: New Leaf town at some point. The temptation is great. But so help me god, if either Maple or Eunice is gone, I will never turn it back on again. I love those guys. My town wouldn’t be the same without them.
I will also be traveling with my laptop, so hopefully over the time I am away, I will be able to dive in to Undertale at long last. I’m certain that no matter how things shake out, I will miss the consoles, for sure.
And never fear! I will still be writing and posting while on holiday.
So as much as I’d like to have all kinds of great things to tell you about the progress I’ve made in this past week, I can’t. And even if holiday planning gets in the way, I’m hoping that next year brings great things on the game playing (and writing) front.
Cheers, friends!

You’re not kidding. I have high hopes (and plans) for next year. More on that, soon.
