Status Report: Week 13 (No Fooling)

I’m not generally into April Fool’s Day, but, traditionally, in the gaming world, outside of E3, this is one of my favorite days. I love the ridiculous crap game devs pass off as real on this day. I still remember when Blood Dragon was announced on April Fool’s and no one believed it was real…until it was.

I can’t wait to read all the crazy “news” today.

Over the weekend I played loads of The Division 2 and I’ve been a screenshotting fool. I’m pretty consistently hindering progress JUST to take more screenshots. I’m not sure I’ve ever taken this many in one game before.

I hit level 30 and I believe I only have one story mission left before I “complete” the game. I’m so excited to play more.

However!

This week we get, at long last, the first Borderlands remaster! WAHOOOOOOOOO!!! My partner and I are for sure going to play it as soon as possible; we may even be joined by our regular co-op partner, so that would be fun, too! I am a huge nerd for the first Borderlands (I’ve completed it over two dozen times, no joke), and I can’t wait.

I’m also in a huge mood to put horror movies on in the background and make some changes to my living space. I have many IKEA things to put together and place about. When I bought them over the weekend, I was moving them from the warehouse shelves to my cart by myself and I later realized I’d super bruised not only my legs (from bracing them and moving them around), but my inner forearms as well! Oops. They were super heavy so I’m not all that surprised.

Basically, this week will be something. And chock full of games and particle board. I’m ready.

Oh, and there’s also more Borderlands 3 news coming this week so hopefully that provides good information.

With that I ask: what will YOU be playing this week?

Please be safe out there, friends. Cheers.

  1. So ready for the endgame in Division 2. Might just have to join you and Todd in Pandora. Maybe one Brick isn’t enough? Can you have too much Brick?

    • Me too! I thought I’d beat the game’s narrative last night buuuuuuuuuuuuut I think sleep took my co-op partner out of rotation.

No might about it; if you’re in, you’re in!

That is an absurd question. There can never be too many Bricks. Perhaps confusing, but I think Brick would like that.

  2. Congrats on your progress in The Division 2! I’m curious to hear how well the endgame plays. On my end, Anthem is on pause. The loading waits were becoming better but the bugs got me. I finally hit a mission wherein I had to replay it because a bug wouldn’t let the mission complete. The Kotaku Anthem article circulating makes a ton of sense and the described game development is apparent in the gameplay. And so I’ve switched to God of War and I’m having a great time.

    • I will be curious to hear your thoughts on the endgame as well if you choose to play it. And I’m really sorry to hear your time with Anthem has been so laden with issue. But I’m glad you’re enjoying God of War!!
