Pretend Day Off: Take Two

I’ve decided to take a second day off, which is to say, it’s not really a day off since I’m still here writing. However! My brain seems to need a mental tidy and I’ve definitely been more under the weather than usual over the past couple weeks. I’m no stranger to writer’s block, but I’ve literally been sitting here at the computer for hours (around three of them) and still have no idea what to write about.

So I’m going to give myself the day to rest, recharge, and hopefully I will come back ready to tackle games and musings next week.

That’s the plan.

.

This weekend I’m hoping to play something other than Destiny 2 while also playing Destiny 2 for the Festival of the Lost, as well as Iron Banner. I want to play literally anything else to break out of this awful rut I’ve been in. I know part of it is that I’ve not been feeling well for some time now, but I’ve got to try something to keep my mind fresh. Or make it fresh again. Re-fresh, if you will.

I want to play something spooky. I also want to go see Halloween 2018, but I’ve a feeling I won’t be seeing it until a mid-week matinee. It’s okay; I can wait.

With that I ask: what will YOU be playing this weekend? Any Halloweeny plans on the horizon? Parties? Haunts? Festivals? Pumpkin patches? Horror movie marathons?

Whatever you do, please be safe out there, friends. Your safety is paramount.

P.S. The image above is more art by Pary Darian. His work makes my brain fly around. I love it.

  1. I watched the original Pet Semetary again last night! I love it so much. In my top ten favorite movies of all time.

As for games, I’ll most likely be playing Destiny 2 on PC with a friend and hopefully some Ni no Kuni 2.

  2. Started Spiderman; the mechanics feel off for me; plan to lay off of it for a while; not sure if I’ll go back to it in the near future. Going back into GoW. Waiting for price cut on Tomb Raider.
