As many of you know, I love my screenshots. With all the hours I’ve been putting into Far Cry 5, it’s only natural I’d find myself with an abundance of screenshots of my exploits so far; don’t worry, there are no spoilers here.

But there are plenty of pictures of Boomer.

He’s a real good boy.

Early in the game I was looking at a bookshelf and found several copies of the classic: Your Meat Is Neat!

I’m not sure I even want to know.

These textures are last gen at best. Those are supposed to be apples. They remind me of the textures of the barrels of food in BioShock: Infinite.

I have a real life fondness for large whimsical structures like that apple. This tickled me.

Boomer is definitely the good boy. I pet him often.

Aww, just look at him! What a good boy.

I was doing something inside a building and I could see Boomer staring through the wall at me. What a dude.

I love flavor text in games, and this is no exception. This got a chuckle out of me.

Why, why, WHY?!

No, seriously, why?

I thought this was a cool touch: the image on that wanted poster is the character model I made for myself down to the aviator shades and Boomer t-shirt.

I don’t mean to be nitpicky, but those models look last gen. I think it would have been better to leave the closet empty than to populate it with flat items.

These are the clothing equivalent of those polygonal apples above.

This was pretty cool; I haven’t seen one of these since I was little. I remember several people I knew had swing sets like this.

Far Cry 5 has a lot of jank and a lot of glitches, and sometimes they wind up being funny. This was one of those times.

In nearly every house in Far Cry 5, there is a framed picture of Boomer. I freaking love that.

.

This actually made me pause; Boomer saw this dead person on the ground. He made a sad sound and laid down next to the body.

I found the reverence of this moment moving.

I love flamingos. If I ever live in a house one day, I’d really like some flamingos in the yard.

And no I’m not joking. I adore them.

.

I believe this was the first (or possibly second) vehicle I bought and it looks like so much fun! I’d love to drive one of these around in a real life.

I had it painted orange. I love orange.

Aww, these two cows are spooning!

Actually, I think they are dead, and that is far less adorable. It’s very video game sad. :(

This is the first (and only) fish I caught and I quite liked his flavor text.

I’m certain as the game progresses, I will wind up with many more screenshots. In the future, I’m probably going to share those, too. Depending on how you feel about it, I’m either sorry or, you’re welcome.

With that I ask: what are you planning on playing this weekend?

I’m hoping to continue with Far Cry 5, maybe start in on A Way Out with my partner, and do my regularly scheduled Borderlands 2 night with a friend.
