One of my favorite features on Game Informer occurs most Friday afternoons: Weekend Warrior. For some reason, I love finding out what everyone is playing (or planning on playing) over the weekend.
Game Informer has openly said that when there aren’t active interns, the feature doesn’t happen as often, but this weekend, I thought I’d do my own here to find out what everyone is up to, digitally.
If it’s gauche to use their title of “Weekend Warrior” here, I apologize! It’s all I know!
This weekend I’m doing a digital buffet: I’m going to play a little of several games I’ve been wanting to get to to see which grabs me right off the bat. I will be sampling the following games (however briefly):
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Inside
No Man’s Sky (to be fair, I’ve played a good chunk of it already)
Emily Wants to Play
Bound
Abzu
Among the Sleep
Lifeless Planet
7 Days to Die
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I Am Bread
Knock Knock
Layers of Fear
Rocket League
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Whew! That’s a lot of sampling.
And maybe I will finish up Trials of the Blood Dragon, although I’m just god awful at it. I mean it. Laughably awful. I just love the aesthetic and the soundtrack so much that I’ve been powering through here and there.
I’m also hoping to get to a few horror movies that I’ve had sitting here for a while now, namely Goodnight, Mommy, and Martyrs.
With that I ask: what will you be playing this weekend? What digital exploits will be on your radar? Please share; I’d love it!
I hope you have a safe weekend out there, friends. Cheers!
Also, happy national dog day!

You really are an Overwatch machine! :)
What do you think of No Man’s Sky now that you’ve played a good chunk of it?
I keep meaning to dive into Tales From the Borderlands and I keep getting distracted. I hope you enjoy it! I am keen on playing it, myself!

As for Telltale’s Batman, I’m curious to know what you think of it.

I’m excited for Telltale’s Batman; waiting for the season pass to drop. I may get it this weekend. Interested in seeing how this MP test goes. If you’re on tomorrow, we should game together. Have you played Telltale’ Batman game yet?

Makes sense. Did you try it out over the weekend?
I’m probably going to pass on the Telltale Batman series. I’m not a super huge super hero fan. Plus I’m way behind on other releases from this year. I have to get cracking!

I didn’t get a chance to. I still plan to get Telltale ‘s Batman. Definitely plan to get PvZ:GW. Love what I played of that game. Do you plan to update your gaming resolutions blog? I’d like to hear how you’re progresing.

Rebekah, if you do I am interested in hearing your thoughts as to how you have progressed or lack thereof. Also, what factors into your progression or lack thereof.

I will write about it! I hadn’t really thought about my progression until you asked, so thank you for that reality check. I needed it!

It’s a little late, but I managed to finish Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc over the weekend.
I thought it was decent, the gameplay had some unique ideas and felt a little like Ace Attorney, but I felt there was a long gap between actually playing the game and the story segments. Some of the gameplay modes I also thought fell a little flat and quickly became more annoying than fun. If the story and characters seem appealing, I’d say it’s worth a play since that’s where you’ll spend most of your time.

Hey, nice job on completing it!
That’s a concise and well thought out explanation of the game; I appreciate that! I do want to finish it, but I’m not sure how soon I will be able to. This gives me a good idea of what to expect when I do. Thank you!
