Sony finished up the press conferences for E3 2016 this evening. Here were the highlights:

Before the conference started, a full orchestra was visible, which can only mean good things to come.

The new God of War was shown.

Shawn Layden took the stage to open the show.

Bend Studio premiered a trailer for their new game, Days Gone.

May I just add, the addition of a live orchestra makes everything better.

The Last Guardian was shown and a release date of October 25, 2016 was announced.

Extended gameplay was shown of Horizon: Zero Dawn.

A trailer was shown for Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human showcasing the consequences of choice in the game.

A PS VR experience called Resident Evil: Biohazard (Resident Evil 7) was announced for January 24, 2017. The demo is available immediately.

PS VR will be available beginning October 13, 2016.

Several PS VR exclusives were shown including Farpoint, Star Wars Battlefront X-Wing VR Mission, and Batman: Arkham VR.

A trailer for Final Fantasy XV VR Experience was shown.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was given an extended trailer. The game releases November 4, 2016.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was given a trailer.

Several Crash Bandicoot entries are being remastered for PS4. Crash Bandicoot is coming to Skylanders Imaginators this October.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens was given an extended trailer. A demo is available to download now.

Andrew House took the stage to introduce Hideo Kojima. He introduced his new game running in real time. The game is called Death Stranding. It looks to be a psychological game of sorts.

Insomniac debuted a trailer for an upcoming Spider Man game.

Days Gone closed the show with an extended gameplay demo.

Well! That concludes the E3 2016 pressers. Thank you for joining me on this ride through E3. Cheers, friends!

  1. Where do I begin with Playstation, they did EVERYTHING RIGHT when it comes to E3 conferences. The live orchestra hit all the right notes & it paired beautifully with the trailers. Sony keep that going with future E3 conferences. Kojima appearance was epic. Not sure how I feel my his game; time will tell. The extended demo on Horizon Zero Dawn. Not sure where I stand on Days Gone. Too early to pass judgment on it; I think it will definitely have an audience, period! For my friends that have longed for The Last Guardian your wait is soon over come Oct. 25th. COD, Call of Duty looks like they have finally made sweet music with their latest entry, Infinite Warfare; also, the remaster of Modern Warfare, interesting move, no?!
Detroit: Become Human, definitely may end up on my playlist somewhere down the line; I definitely want to know more about it. If it turns out to be like a TT Game where choice is paramount then they are definitely onto something. No?!
Spiderman! Will Insomniac do it justice? I hope so! Superhero video games have been hit or miss in the last few years. Ijs!
Lastly, Playstation VR, mane! That speaks for itself. Especially with the gaming lineup. Only will time will tell if it has staying power or not.
    Rebekah/Colton, any thoughts?

    • I think Sony touched on a lot of great points, but what stands out to me was the appearance and trailer for Kojima’s new game, The Last Guardian release date, and weirdly, so happy that Insomniac is doing the Spider Man game which means Sucker Punch is NOT doing it which means they are freed up to do something awesome all their own.

The orchestra was a wonderful touch. A live orchestra makes everything better.
