Recap: Ubisoft’s Press Conference At E3 2015

Following EA’s press conference, Ubisoft was up next. Here are the highlights.

I actually couldn’t get this to stream immediately, so I don’t know if I missed anything right off the bat. Boo.

(Edit: looks like I missed a new South Park announcement.)

A new IP was announced, called For Honor which showcased some impressive locations. The more I watched the presentation, the less I feel like I understand what type of game it is.

The Crew has an expansion coming later this year called Wild Run. It is scheduled to drop in November.

Trials Fusion Awesome Level Max expansion showcased a triple rainbow, as well as a cat riding a fire breathing unicorn.

The Division introduced the Dark Zone, and even though the radio chatter was supposed to sound authentic, it sounded forced. Also, the environment looked like a reskinned Watch_Dogs.

March 8, 2016 was announced as a release date for The Division, and was said to be playable on the E3 show floor.

Anno 2205 will be released this November.

Just Dance will now operate without cameras, instead using the technology available in smartphones. You will also now be able to use a subscription to use a Just Dance on demand type service.

Rainbow Six Siege had an extended trailer, transitioning into an interview with Angela Basset. The beta for Rainbow Six Siege starts on September 24th.

Track Mania Turbo was announced as a gonzo racing track creator? Or just a gonzo racing game? I was unclear on this.

Assassins Creed Syndicate was given an extended trailer.

The show closed with Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands being announced. An extended trailer was shown.

Next up is the Sony press conference tonight. Cheers!

  1. I’m willing to bet that the reason the Division looks like a re-skinned Watch Dogs is because Chicago and New York look very similar in structure.

For Honor got my attention. I want more realistic medieval games to come out. It’s such a wasted time period outside of Strategy games.

  2. For Honor looks like battles from Dynasty Warriors with a focus on 2v2 multiplayer with technical combat from a Souls game. Confused like you though, I could be WAY off! The only thing I was more confused by was that trailer for Trials.

The new AC looks incredible and I respect the acknowledgement of all the heat Ubi has been taking over their recent releases.

i love ubisoft, i really do, but their press conferences can be so much weirder than everyone else’s.

just look at that musical performance. there were a lot of awkward folks in that audience.
